Please read through this page to learn about our the process of selecting our CM/GC for the Bond Projects.
Step 1. The district publically advertised for the project and issued a Request for Qualifications or RFQ to all interested CM/GC candidates. A copy of this RFQ can be found by clicking the link below.
Step 2. Members of the selection committee, including the school board; superintendent; and three community members, representing various expertise in the construction industry, reviewed and rated the Statements of Qualification or SOQs. A copy of the scoring criteria can be found by clicking the link below.
Step 3. Members of the selection committee met in a public meeting on 12/18/2017 to share their scores, discuss the candidates, and ask any further questions that they had. After combining the scores, and deliberating amongst the committee, a motion was made and accepted unanimously to accept Headwaters Construction Company as the CM/GC. The scoring matrix is shown below.
The following is the press release issued by the District on December 18, 2017. Selection of Construction Manager/General Contractor Headwaters Construction Co., based out of Victor, Idaho, was selected by the Teton School District 401 Board of Trustees as the Construction Manager/General Contractor for the upcoming $37 million in new elementary schools and addition/remodel projects in our school district. This decision was made after reviewing qualifications and proposals submitted by Headwaters Construction and Bateman-Hall General Contractors. A selection committee including the school board, superintendent, and three community members representing various expertise in construction reviewed and rated the proposals. In reviewing construction delivery methods, the CM/GC was chosen to focus on preconstruction services and close collaboration with the school district and architects in the design and construction of the schools.
We look forward to working with a high-quality professional contractor with a strong local presence in our community on these projects. The school district, along with GPC architects, will be working closely with Headwaters Construction to continue the work on designing and programming these projects. Updates for the community will be posted on the school bond website, tsd401bond.org.
